Cork wall coverings have gained a new approach through Muratto. Using 3D shapes and cheerful colours, they create playful and dynamic surfaces.
Organic Blocks is a natural product made by pressing cork granules and colour pigments into compact blocks.
As a natural and ecological material, cork influences the room even further. Room acoustics improve by 30% thanks to cork’s sound-absorbing properties, which are supported by the three-dimensional designs that help diffuse sound waves. The result is less echo and a cosier space.
Known as a thermal insulator, cork also provides additional warmth. Organic Blocks, with a thermal resistance value R of 0.47 m²·K/W, contribute to improving the room’s thermal performance.
The light weight of cork—only one-third of alternative wall coverings—allows it to be glued onto almost any wall.
Muratto designs are inspired by nature.
BEEHIVE – a modern and stylistic interpretation of a honeycomb. The pattern seems to move and come alive, adding dynamism, energy and emotion to the room.
CHOCK – four cubes protruding from the centre, like four windows each opening in its own direction. Designed for spacious interiors; the best effect is seen from a distance.
PEAK – consists of four asymmetrical triangles pointing upwards. Its repeating pattern and light reflection evoke the image of mountain peaks.
MINICHOCK – designed for smaller surfaces. Small cubes arranged at various angles form an intriguing mosaic-like pattern.
SENSES – an hourglass shape with curved forms, installed crosswise, creates a playful organic pattern that adds depth and volume to the walls.
CORK BRICKS – three different thicknesses and three different sizes form a natural-toned, rustic cork surface resembling a brick wall.
