Decoratori Bassanesi was founded in Italy in 1988 and immediately established itself on the market as a brand that values art and handcrafted ceramic tiles. Demonstrating the beauty of surfaces and expanding traditions has always been the company’s main goal. Today, Decoratori Bassanesi presents itself on the market with a renewed appearance, while maintaining its core theme of surface decoration, approached in a modern and unique way.

Innovation and attention to detail, the company’s core values, permeate all stages of production — from material selection to experimentation with the most progressive techniques.

Wabi Sabi is a new collection inspired by natural imperfection. Its name literally means “imperfect beauty” — a concept characteristic of Japanese craftsmanship and processes based on accepting small flaws. At the heart of the Wabi-Sabi concept is duality, and designer Federica Biasi reflects this in the collection with two different, yet complementary textures.

The first, Wabi, has a dense texture that is rich yet surprisingly light. It is a surface that must be viewed up close and gently touched to be understood. The second, Sabi, arouses curiosity even from afar, with a more decisive and rigorous surface. To connect the two, the designer created a third tile — Full — which continues the same color palette with a smooth surface.

The Shades collection, created by Keiji Takeuchi, plays with light and shadow. Delicate 3D stripes enrich the surface of the monochrome tile. The relief is subtle enough to be used as a floor tile, offering just the right amount of slip resistance.

The Segments series uses a simple line whose repetition creates a strong visual impact. Designed by Guglielmo Poletti, this exciting collection offers many possible configurations and variations, transforming the minimalist pattern into refined interior decor.

The geometry of vertical and horizontal planes in the Tartan series softens the ceramic tile, making it feel like fabric or knit. German designer Sebastian Herkner pushes the boundaries of interior design with this series, aiming to create new sensations.
